About the Position
Meadville Medical Center is seeking a dedicated and skilled Radiologic Technician to join our dynamic healthcare team. As a Radiologic Technician, you will play a critical role in performing diagnostic imaging examinations to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of patients. Your expertise in operating radiographic equipment and ensuring high-quality imaging will be essential in providing exceptional care.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform accurate diagnostic imaging procedures using radiographic equipment
- Ensure patient safety and comfort before, during, and after procedures
- Prepare patients for radiologic examinations by explaining the procedure and positioning them correctly
- Maintain and operate imaging equipment, ensuring it is functioning correctly and safely
- Follow established protocols for imaging procedures to obtain high-quality images
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to interpret imaging results
- Maintain patient records, including the documentation of imaging procedures and results
- Adhere to radiation safety regulations to protect patients, staff, and self from unnecessary exposure
- Provide excellent patient care by addressing patient concerns and answering questions related to imaging procedures
- Assist in the training and orientation of new staff members or students in the radiology department
- Participate in continuing education and professional development activities to stay current with advancements in radiologic technology and techniques
- Contribute to quality improvement initiatives within the radiology department to enhance patient care and operational efficiency

Requirements
- Completion of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology
- Registered Radiologic Technologist or within one year of hire
- Additional education may be required depending on team
- Current BLS certification
