About the Position
The Certified Nurse Aide or CNA at Meadville Medical Center will give resident care under the supervision of an RN or LPN in our Transitional Care Unit (TCU). This will include assisting with restorative nursing procedures such as body alignment, bed positioning, range-of-motion exercises, and more. You will need to carefully observe the patients you are caring for in order to report pertinent observations, changes, and reactions regarding the resident to the appropriate person.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct care to Transitional Care Unit residents
- Obtain vital signs, weight, height, intake, output, and specimens
- Make regular rounds to all residents to provide necessary care and perform errands when asked to do so
- Answer call lights promptly, courteously, and provide for resident's needs

Requirements
- Professional knowledge of nursing theory and practice through completion of training
- Current state certification as a Nursing Assistant
- Current BLS Healthcare Provider card
